Iøvrigt MEGET overraskende at SEC prøver at give det en "we need money/staff" vinkel. Se også disse 2 historier, frisk fra trykken:
DJ Madoff Whistleblower:Turning In $1B 'Mini-Madoff' To SEC
WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--The whistleblower who helped uncover Bernard Madoff's alleged Ponzi scheme said he plans to turn in another billion-dollar fraud to the Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday.
Harry Markopolos, the independent fraud investigator who spent nine-plus years trying to expose Madoff's alleged fraud, said he would turn over the information during a scheduled meeting with the SEC's inspector general.
"I plan on turning in at least a $1 billion, if not greater, mini-Madoff to the SEC tomorrow," Markopolos told a U.S. House subcommittee in response to a question about the potential for similar cases coming out in the future.
DJ Madoff Whistleblower: Madoff Could Not Have Acted Alone

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--Harry Markopolos told a House panel Wednesday that Bernard Madoff, who alleged perpetrated a multi-billion dollar ponzi scheme, had "had a lot of help" from others in defrauding investors.
Markopolos, a whistleblower who unsuccessfully tried to convince the Securities and Exchange Commission that Madoff's firm was committing fraud, said Madoff had to receive substantial assistance from others in his firm. Madoff reportedly claimed to have acted alone in perpetrating the scheme.
"He had a lot of help" Markopolos said, specifically citing a "robust information technology department" that made sure that client statement's "matched the penny."
Markopolos also cited employees at Madoff's firm who collected money from investors.
Markopolos har også lige sagt at han også informerede selveste Mr. Spitzer omkring. Om ham ved vi jo dog med sikkerhed at han havde travlt med noget andet :)
