As announced today, NASDAQ OMX has placed a bid with the intent to purchase NYSE Euronext. We believe that a combination of these two iconic companies will bring many benefits to our global data customers through additional efficiencies, more choice, lower costs and new innovations to the market.

We plan to offer flexible pricing and billing options by extending the current NASDAQ OMX Enterprise license pricing options. By applying and extending NYSE programs, we will give credits to customers with multiple subscriptions. You will be able to retain your current month-to-month contract or you can explore our planned single or multi-year contract options.
We will ensure maximum flexibility for our customers by not bundling products. We will create efficiencies for clients by eliminating your need to interact with two separate Tape Plan technologies in the U.S. and will create lower pricing for data to retail non-professionals. Our focus on harmonizing and simplifying data policies will decrease your audits and the associated risks.

Det fælles bud lyder på 42,5 dollar pr. aktie, hvilket giver et købstilbud på godt 11 mia. dollar. Det er med gårsdagens lukkekurs 19 pct. højere end det stående tilbud fra Deutsche Börse."
Kursen er pt. $39,14 og der er således en difference på $3,4 til afgivet købstilbud, hvilket svarer til et afkast på ca. 8,70%, såfremt handlen bliver lukket. Endvidere er det mulighed for yderligere et modbud fra Deutsche Börse, hvilket vil skubbe kursen yderligere i vejret.
Det eneste der undrer mig er at spændet er så stort.
