Copenhagen, 25 August 2009 - NeuroSearch (NEUR) announces that today 618,562
new shares of DKK 20 nominal value each, corresponding to a total nominal
capital increase of DKK 12,371,240, have been issued. The new shares have been
registered with the Danish Commerce and Companies Agency. As announced in
announcement no. 34-09 from 17 August 2009, all the new shares have been
subscribed by Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation (JJDC) at a market
price of DKK 120.35 per share of DKK 20 nominal value each.

The net proceeds to NeuroSearch from the directed offering to JJDC amount to
DKK 74.4 million.

The 618,562 new shares have been issued without pre-emption rights for the
company's current shareholders. The issue has been decided by the Board of
Directors in NeuroSearch on the basis of Article 5 of the company's Articles of
Association, authorising the Board of Directors to increase the share capital
of the company. The new shares will rank pari passu with and have the same
rights as the existing shares in the company.

Following registration of the new shares, NeuroSearch's share capital amounts
to DKK 344,756,600 (17,237,830 shares of DKK 20 nominal value each).

As of today, the new shares have been admitted to trading and official listing
on NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen under the ISIN of NeuroSearch's existing shares (ISIN
DK0010224666).
