expression analysis products, today announced that an independent scientific
benchmark study demonstrates the superior sensitivity and linearity of the
miRCURY LNA™ Universal RT microRNA PCR product line. The benchmark study was
performed by a research group at Aarhus University Hospital, Skejby, Denmark,
and was published today in the leading peer-reviewed scientific journal BMC
Genomics. The study highlights in particular the superior linearity and
sensitivity of the miRCURY LNA™ Universal RT microRNA PCR platform within
clinically important plasma and serum samples which contain low amounts of
microRNA.

In the study, the research group compared the performance of the miRCURY LNA™
Universal RT microRNA PCR platform to that of two major market competitors. The
study concludes that it is beneficial to use the miRCURY platform for microRNA
PCR profiling of samples with low microRNA levels, such as clinical blood
samples (plasma and serum).
